Open Gold Qualifier August 2024 Eryri

This is a qualifying expedition based around Capel Curig in Eryri (Snowdonia). We will be exploring some of the more remote fells and valleys of the area, seeing iconic scenes on the way. You need to have completed your training and a practice in order to book on this, this can be either with your school, or another provider, but we will need details of this. The expedition is run over 5 days, and will be challenging. You will need a good level of hill fitness to gain the most out of this.

Please arrive at the start point for 12.00 on the19th of August. Departure will be around 3pm on the 23rd of August.

Full details along with the consent and medical form and kit list will be sent to you via email after booking, so please ensure you fill in all the details correctly when booking.

We will provide tents, stoves, pans, gas, first aid kits, maps, compasses, roll mat and large rucksacks. All the paperwork for DofE is completed on your behalf and campsite fees are also included.

You need to bring your personal kit, sleeping bag, food, waterproofs, hiking boots and clothes. If you have a 60L rucksack and small 1 or 2 person backpacking tent you prefer to use please bring them along.
